What Kind of Leader Are You?

Has anyone ever asked you this question, or have you asked yourself?

There are many different leadership models and many different characteristics important to leaders today. Are you a leader by title only, or do people want to follow you? Do you want to be a better leader? Are you concerned with the many generations in our workforce and how to keep each one of them happy? Are you struggling with diversity and inclusion? What is your purpose, and are you living it every day?

There are a multitude of changes and competing priorities happening in our world: payment reform, technology, regulations, patient experience, productivity, employee engagement, quality metrics, safety, volume to value, population health, retail healthcare, and more. Do you want to motivate and inspire your team through these changes? How do you build trust? What will your legacy be? Are you struggling to define your style and what works for many goals? Is your world spinning and seem to be out of control?

Not to worry, there is a solution! Servant leadership and its tenets will help you achieve every goal you desire, if you commit to serve. It all begins with PURPOSE and ends with SUCCESS. When you live your purpose, and translate that to passion and building relationships, you can achieve goals. As Simon Sinek shares, “start with why!” From here we develop loyalty and trust, and as an added bonus, we enhance our emotional intelligence!

Please join me at the 2018 Annual Meeting in Orlando for my session, “Success through Servant Leadership,” on Tuesday, July 24 at 8:15 AM. This will be one of many discussions about how we can be better leaders and develop those around us to achieve great things!
