As we gather in the crisp embrace of November 2023, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and openness to re-examine recent events. This month, as we reflect on the challenges and triumphs of the year, I find it fitting to express my deepest appreciation for the blessings that surround us and to shed light on the invaluable experiences we’ve gained from our engagement with our partners and members throughout the Medical Imaging field.

First and foremost, let me extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every member of our association. Our collective dedication to advancing the field of radiology management is the bedrock upon which our successes are built. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let us take a moment to appreciate the unwavering commitment and resilience that define us as professionals and as a community.

This year has brought unprecedented challenges, yet it has also illuminated our ability to adapt and innovate. The blessings of modern technology have allowed us to transcend physical barriers, enabling us to connect, learn, and collaborate in ways previously unimaginable. The power of our unity has been a source of inspiration, and I am confident that our shared commitment will continue to propel us forward, overcoming any obstacles that lie ahead.

As for some updates, first, have you checked out the new and updated AHRA website? We know today’s digital environment needs to be customized and relevant, and this is where it starts. Over the last several months, our AHRA team has been working to create a more personalized experience for you, our members, and enhance the overall ease of navigation throughout the website.  Take it for a spin and let us know your thoughts by sending an email to memberservices@ahra.org.

Secondly, we will be meeting with many of our corporate partners at the RSNA to discuss our continued partnerships. These relationships are crucial for both our organization and theirs. The financial and collaborative support provided by these partners allows us to continue to offer and develop many programs and services for AHRA members. Meanwhile, our corporate partners are afforded the opportunity to interact with our community of over 5,000 members and gain valuable feedback on their products and services, as well as perspectives on the most pressing challenges and/or innovative opportunities facing medical imaging leaders today. Clearly, these partnerships are essential for our continued and mutual success and we are committed to building upon them now and into the future.

Lastly, the Board of Directors will be meeting on December 1 to set the strategic goals for 2024!  As you may recall, we have a five-year strategic plan and each year we build upon that plan to continue our mission to educate, develop, mentor, and provide resources to medical imaging professionals. I am so excited to continue this work and I am confident the Board will continue this forward trajectory and our vision of making the AHRA the place imaging leaders come to connect, grow, and learn.  More to come next month!

In closing, I encourage each of you to embrace the blessings that surround us, both personally and professionally. Our shared journey in the field of radiology is a testament to our resilience and passion. Continue making connections with others, offering a hand, as we build up our association and each other.

Thank you for your dedication, your contributions, and your unwavering commitment to the advancement of radiology. Together, let us continue to be the driving force behind progress in our field.
