“Whenever there is change, and wherever there is uncertainty, there is opportunity” ~Mark Cuban

By Chris Tomlinson, MBA, CRA, FAHRA
It’s been a tumultuous time in the healthcare industry. As leaders, our focus has been caring for our patients, protecting our staff and planning for the second pandemic; caring for the patients who didn’t get the healthcare they needed during this time for non-COVID-19 conditions. We are also tasked with re-opening strategies as our health systems/organizations are facing massive losses and the prospect of cost cutting.

Unprecedented times.

Please use your AHRA family to collaborate on solutions, share best practices and to support one another. We are strong and will get through this. Please reach out to me or the AHRA staff for any support you need. We will continue to message resources available to help you, our members, win the battle against COVID-19. Stay strong and reach out to your AHRA family for help.

Happy New Year!

By Chris Tomlinson, MBA, CRA, FAHRA
While the New Year brings a sense of renewal and a chance to address the things we have been putting off, it also affords us the opportunity to refocus our efforts at work. It’s a chance to make a new start and I encourage us all to embrace the opportunity and roll out a new patient facing program or employee recognition program for the new year.

It’s Almost AHRA Board of Directors Nomination Time!

By Bill Algee, CRA, FAHRA
January will bring the “call for nominations” for the AHRA Board of Directors and President Elect. As the immediate Past President, I will serve as chair of the Nominations Committee and have assembled a great group of AHRA imaging leaders to review the nominations, interviews candidates, and provide the board a final group of nominees for the ballot.

Thanksgiving

By Chris Tomlinson, MBA, CRA, FAHRA
When we think about Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday, it’s important to think about how fortunate we are as leaders and to reflect on those individuals who helped us along our journey. Too often we are focused on our next goal or accomplishment. Sometimes we need to reflect and thank our teams and those who mentored and helped us along the way.
