Celebrating Our Success: A Record Year for AHRA
Leadership & Workforce Management Celebrating Our Success: A Record Year for AHRA December 17, 2025 - Wesley Harden, CRA, FAHRA
Share this story:

It’s hard to believe it’s December already. This year has been a whirlwind of activity and 2026 is shaping up to be just as busy. Just earlier this month I was at RSNA 2025. Who doesn’t love Chicago in December? (Yes, I am being sarcastic!) However, it is a great time to meet with many of our partners who support AHRA. I always appreciate the opportunity to engage with them, hear feedback on how the year went, and continue to find ways to bring value to our partners and members. Conversations have been very positive, with plenty of excitement around the AHRA Annual Meeting. We’re building momentum as we head into 2026!

Following RSNA 2025, the AHRA Board of Directors had its final in-person meeting for the year. This gave us a chance to reflect on successes and discuss opportunities for the new year, as well as finalize our budget for 2026.

Speaking of successes, this year has been amazing. We’ve seen a record number of military memberships, with 57 individuals joining us. Overall, our scholarship applications have increased by 25%. It’s exciting to see more members use these funds to further their development! We also saw 186 Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) test takers and 123 new CRAs — both record numbers in the last decade! Congrats to all on this achievement. Earning the CRA validates your knowledge and expertise in medical imaging management; an increased number of new CRAs shows the growing value of this certification.

I’m also excited to share that we have had a record number of submissions for CLIMB presentations: 65 total! The event is shaping up to be amazing. This year’s program (March 19-20, 2026) includes a closing panel of leaders who will share how to tackle the future of our profession, expanded networking opportunities, and sessions that will help you drive collaboration within your teams. Make sure you register now to join us.

Lastly, I want to share a couple of reminders. First, please renew your AHRA membership — time is running out and I don’t want you to lose out on your many benefits.

Second, there is still time to take part in our Benchmarking Survey; the deadline has been extended to Wednesday, December 31. This survey will help us share operational, financial, staffing, and performance data in a special report, complimentary for AHRA members. To make this a success, we need as many people as possible to participate. Be part of the change you want to see.

Let me close with this: As the year winds down, take some time for yourself to reflect on the year you have had and renew yourself for the year ahead. Make big plans! Have fun! Get stuff done. Make 2026 a year to remember. And take some time to share and make memories with family and friends. I’ll see you next year!
