An Inside Look at Planning the AHRA 2025 Annual Meeting: A Letter from AMDT Chair Carla Knisley
Leadership & Workforce Management An Inside Look at Planning the AHRA 2025 Annual Meeting: A Letter from AMDT Chair Carla Knisley April 18, 2025 - Carla Knisley, CRA

While it feels like spring has just begun, it’s hard to believe that the AHRA 2025 Annual Meeting, August 3-6 in Las Vegas, is only a few short months away!

As this year’s Annual Meeting Design Team (AMDT) chair, I’m excited to share recent highlights and upcoming initiatives from our group, as our work is well underway. If you’re not familiar with the AMDT, we are a group of AHRA volunteers who are passionate about supporting AHRA’s mission by creatively designing an educational program that supports radiology professionals.

Most recently, the AMDT met in person to review and determine this year’s educational program. This included planning the flow and design of sessions, as well as presentations on topics that will empower you to return to your teams with new ideas and insights. We reviewed all submission proposals, discussed each, and finalized a lineup that meets our industry standards and AHRA’s reputation for delivering best-in-class education. Program details are forthcoming; sessions will cover a variety of topics, from AI to navigating healthcare mergers, overcoming imposter syndrome and burnout, the latest in breast imaging, operational efficiency strategies, equity and access in radiology, and more.

Reviewing proposals was quite a task, as we reached a record number of submissions — a special thanks to AHRA members for your engagement! We are very grateful for this level of interest and continue to encourage future submissions. While we received more proposals than the event can accommodate, we identified several submissions that would make for excellent LINK articles, which everyone can benefit from.

The AMDT continues to meet virtually each month, as we are located across the U.S. During these meetings, we provide input to Annual Meeting plans to provide the best experience for attendees and vendor partners. AMDT members have reviewed, made suggestions, and chosen interactive and engaging activities within the Gathering Place, a space dedicated to mingling with each other and meeting partners that offer solutions to help improve our work. Additionally, the AMDT will partner with Annual Meeting ambassadors to guide first-time attendees through the event. If you’re joining us at the Annual Meeting for the first time, our ambassador program helps ensure you get the most out of your experience!

With some of the more involved work in progress, the AMDT’s next projects will include all the fun aspects of the event! We’ll begin to provide input into themes, food, and activities for members to enjoy themselves. Our goal is to ensure that the receptions and parties provide an upbeat atmosphere, excellent entertainment, good food, and opportunities to make new connections — all while making memories!
We are excited to help you navigate the Annual Meeting, meet new people, learn from industry experts, and, importantly, have a great time in the process!

Special Thanks to 2025 AMDT Members
