2025-2026 President-Elect
Cindy Winter, CRA, FAHRA
Director of Radiology and Patient Transportation, JPS Health Network
"It’s an honor and a privilege to serve on the AHRA Board of Directors and I am grateful for the nomination to be considered for president-elect. The past several years has set forth challenges many of us have never faced before in our imaging careers. Throughout it all, AHRA has been a leading resource, standing beside us every step of the way. Two and a half years ago, the Board of Directors and AHRA staff developed the new mission, vision, and values, setting AHRA on a forward path to meet the future with strength and purpose. Looking ahead we have important work to do:
- Roll out new professional development platforms to meet the evolving demands of healthcare.
- Expand mentorship opportunities to foster emerging leaders.
- Strengthen our networks so that we can continue to learn, grow, and support each other.
- Foster partnerships with organizations like ASRT and SDMS.
- Work toward reciprocity agreements for continuing education with groups such as the American College of Healthcare Executives and RBMA, expanding educational horizons for AHRA members.
I am deeply committed to serving the AHRA community with dedication, transparency, and heart. The community, the membership, and the spirit of this organization are what make AHRA so special — and why I am so proud to be a part of it. For those I have yet to meet or work with, I am the director of radiology and patient transportation at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. I have been a member of AHRA for over 20 years. I wholeheartedly believe in what AHRA represents, and it is my honor to serve you as president-elect… Representing you, our AHRA members, because you are not just my peers… you are my imaging family."
2025-2026 Board Directors-at-Large
John J. Beall III, FAHRA
Regional Director of Corporate Accounts, United Imaging
"I am deeply committed to AHRA, an organization that has greatly supported my career, and enjoy volunteering whenever I can to give back to the organization. With my 30 years of experience in the federal sector, along with my current role as a vendor, I bring a unique perspective that combines technical ability with strategic leadership that would be an asset and complement the board. My strong background in strategic planning makes me confident that I can help drive sustainable growth for OUR organization. I am eager to contribute to the goal of increasing our membership, which is key to expanding AHRA’s impact and continuing its success in advancing the imaging field."
Jamie Coder, CRA, FAHRA
Manager, Radiation Safety, Mayo Clinic
"I am honored to be reelected to my second term on the AHRA Board of Directors. With over 20 years of leadership experience in radiology and radiation safety, AHRA has been invaluable to my development as a leader. Since joining AHRA in 2013, I was welcomed by dedicated volunteers and immediately became an active member.
In late night or mid-work conversations, I have listened to the successes, opportunities, and needs of AHRA members, who have become friends and expanded my network. These moments have taught me honesty and trust. I take these discussions seriously and challenge myself to answer questions, find solutions, and provide feedback during board or committee meetings to improve processes. Nothing should go unheard.
As a board director, I prioritize listening to members, advocating for changes when necessary, and providing mentorship. I am always eager to listen, learn, and grow to meet the needs of our members.
During my term, I worked with the Membership Committee to expand military discounts to immediate family members, establish an ambassador program for first-time attendees at the Annual Meeting, and increase visibility and recognition for volunteers on committees and task forces. These initiatives are just a small subset of what the organization has done and will continue to do to expand membership and provide valuable resources to all our members.
AHRA is committed to its members, and so am I. This is why I continue to believe wholeheartedly in this organization. I am honored to serve for three more years on the AHRA Board of Directors to continue the evolution of this organization."
Traci Foster, CRA, FAHRA
Director of Operations Ambulatory Imaging Services,
Memorial Hermann Health System
"Medical imaging is a vast and constantly growing, changing, and evolving sector within the healthcare industry. Working in this field requires compassion, discipline, adaptability, and determination. However, to be successful, it truly takes a village.
I ran for reelection on the AHRA Board of Directors because I see and understand the importance of working together to overcome our challenges. The members of AHRA expect and deserve board directors who want not only the field of medical imaging to flourish, but to work tirelessly to ensure the members have the crucial information, insights, tools, and resources that they can harness to help guide and direct them in their day-to-day work.
As a member of the board, I am committed to partnering with AHRA and its members to ensure AHRA’s vision to educate, develop, mentor, and provide resources to medical imaging professionals remains top of mind in all that we do. I am committed to giving my time and energy to help AHRA and its members by listening to what the members want and need and partnering with AHRA staff and other associations to ensure AHRA remains the place imaging leaders come to connect, grow, and learn."
Rachel Thiesse-Yount, CRA, FAHRA
Senior Manager of Breast Imaging Clinical Operations,
University of Texas Medical Branch
"An AHRA Board of Directors position will offer me personal and professional growth opportunities through influence and leadership to help shape our future and long-term goals, deepen my connections with influential professionals in our industry, gain knowledge in shared governance, leadership, and decision-making, and enhance my understanding of the organizations operations and the challenges needing to be addressed.
More importantly, this opportunity will allow me to give back to new and aspiring members as they embark on their leadership journey. This action has a positive impact to ensure the success and longevity of AHRA's future. The personal satisfaction will come from demonstrating to others that within a short period of time, a member’s ability to attain a decision-making role does not take 10 years or more. It is through finding opportunities to shine in volunteering, in various roles, and leaning into the discomfort of the unknown, is where success truly awaits.
Being considered for a board position does not have a prerequisite of a director title in their current employment position. Managers and supervisors are frontline staff and their contributions to the future of our industry and AHRA is vitally important. I want to be that testament."
The 2025-2026 AHRA Board of Directors will be formally installed during the AHRA 2025 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, August 3-6.
Please join us in congratulating our new and returning board members!
