Did You Earn CE From That Session? Thank a Rapid Reviewer

Every AHRA member knows the value of continuing education (CE). Whether you earned CE credit from a webinar, conference session, workshop, journal activity, or online course, there’s an important step behind the scenes that helps ensure all educational content meets quality standards before credit is awarded.
That’s where Rapid Review comes in.
The AHRA Rapid Review Advisory Panel plays a critical role in evaluating educational activities submitted for CE. Panel members review webinars, conference sessions, textbooks, journal articles, and other learning opportunities to ensure they meet established criteria for CE, CME, and other credit approvals. In short, when you receive CE credit, there's a good chance a Rapid Reviewer helped make it possible.
Finding a New Way to Give Back
For Melissa Ramos, CRA, joining the panel was a natural extension of her interest in becoming more involved with AHRA. After joining the association in 2023 and earning the CRA, she looked for additional ways to contribute.
“I joined the Rapid Review Panel offering my expertise in mammography and breast sonography,” Ramos says. Her work on the panel has given her a unique perspective on the breadth of expertise that contributes to imaging education.
“As part of the review, each person submitting the topic includes their CV credentials to prove they are content experts," Ramos says of the process. “I find it fascinating that we have people from organization all over doing what we do and are so willing to share their knowledge!”
Participating in Rapid Review has also influenced Ramos' own professional growth. “Being a part of AHRA and Rapid Review motivated me to become a presenter,” she says. Since joining the panel, she has participated in CLIMB 2026 and this year at AHRA 2026 presented a pre-conference workshop.
Retirement Didn't End the Journey
Longtime imaging leader Terry Lynn Bucknall, CRA, FAHRA, came to Rapid Review from a different path. After retiring from a director-level role in 2019, she wasn't ready to end her volunteer service to AHRA.
“Even though I wasn't working, I wasn't ready to stop volunteering and giving back to AHRA,” Bucknall says.
With 45 years of imaging experience and expertise in breast imaging, she was invited to join the panel and quickly found the role rewarding.
“Rapid Review was a perfect fit for me,” she says. “I could stay connected to AHRA, continue to learn, and be exposed to new trends and techniques.”
Raising the Bar for Imaging Education
Bucknall notes that many members may not realize the scope of the program's impact. “Our Rapid Review program provides a huge and necessary service for our industry and is also a source of revenue for AHRA,” she says.
While reviews are often completed quickly, Bucknall notes that the content itself can be highly engaging. “The content is so good that I find myself engaged in the learning activity,” she says.
For her, the greatest reward is helping ensure high-quality education reaches imaging professionals nationwide. “I am grateful that I am able to share my decades of knowledge and have the opportunity to make sure that the educational content being offered to my colleagues across the country is of superior quality,” she says.
Have You Thanked a Rapid Reviewer?
The next time you scan your badge for CE credit, download a certificate, or attend an educational session at conference or online, remember that a dedicated team of volunteers helped make that opportunity possible. Rapid Review Panel members work behind the scenes to support lifelong learning, elevate educational quality, and strengthen the imaging profession.
So, did you earn CE credit from that session? If so, take a moment to thank a Rapid Review Panel member. They are helping ensure that AHRA's educational offerings remain valuable, relevant, and worthy of your time.
