I am so grateful to have been awarded the 2022 Beekley Annual Meeting scholarship from
Beekley Medical to attend the AHRA Annual meeting. I have heard so many great things about the AHRA
Annual Meetings, but I have not been able to attend until this year. My experience at the meeting far
exceeded expectations.
I was nervous at first about attending the meeting alone. However, from the moment I entered
the hotel to check in, I met friendly and welcoming AHRA faces. By day two, I had met four lovely ladies
in the Aspiring Leaders track who I deeply connected with and became my best friends at the meeting. I
learned a lot from these ladies; they helped me get out of my comfort zone and improve my networking
skills. Finally, I am excited to have connected with countless professionals in the imaging field who
provided excellent advice and their contact information to be used as a resource as I pursue a career in
imaging management.
The people were not the only aspect that made this meeting magnificent. The lectures were
nothing short of amazing as well. I had signed up to attend the Aspiring Leaders track. The information in
this track was perfect for someone like me, who just finished my master’s in healthcare and business
administration and looking to improve my managerial skills in the imaging field. What I loved most about
the meeting was that the lectures covered a lot of the information I learned in my master’s program,
except the information was imaging specific. This is extremely helpful to my professional development in
the imaging field.
In conclusion, I want to again express my gratitude to Beekley Medical and the AHRA for giving
me this scholarship. The relationships I made and the things I learned are truly priceless and will help me
grow professionally for years to come. The AHRA Annual Meeting was genuinely magical.
