As the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers”, and the AHRA is seeing a surge of new opportunities for growth! Spring is a season of new beginnings, and that is true for the AHRA as well. The AHRA Board of Directors has been working hard to position the AHRA to best support imaging leaders now and for many years to come. As we are celebrating our 50th birthday this year, we are committed to keeping the AHRA on the right track to be here for at least another 50 years! What are we doing exactly? We are following our strategic plan!
Pillar 1 of our strategic plan requires us to focus on innovation and adaptability. We are working hard to differentiate the AHRA. Our mission is to educate, develop, mentor and provide resources to medical imaging professionals, and that is exactly what we are doing!
Pillar 2 focuses on membership growth, and the mentorship program is almost ready to be rolled out. Remember, this was an ask during the 2022 AHRA Member survey, so I know that you will not be disappointed, whether you are looking to mentor someone or to be the mentee. There are always learning and growth opportunities for all involved. I have been blessed with great mentors throughout my entire career, so it brings me great joy to give back (mentor) to imaging leaders.
Pillar 3 focuses on key strategic alliances and collaborations to bring more resources to our members. We are actively working on this goal, and we will be announcing our new initiatives very soon. The feasibility study that ADS has initiated will help identify how we can best work with vendors to support each other’s mission and vision. The AHRA has developed great relationships with our vendors over the years, built on trust and transparency.
Ideas and plans are “blooming all around” for AHRA’s 2023 Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, this July 9-12! You don’t want to miss the gifted speakers, the networking opportunities, and/or all that Indy has to offer. Please be sure to register now!
On a personal note, I am still maintaining a “better work-life balance”, “filling my cup with joy” by spending time in my “happy places” (beach, with family, etc.), as well as being more physically active. I can’t wait to see you all, my AHRA family, at the 2023 AHRA annual meeting! If you have any questions, please reach out! Brenda.DeBastiani@BraveraHealth.com
