AHRA’s online Board of Directors Election closed at midnight on May 16, 2022. A heartfelt Thank You to all of the truly worthy candidates! And to those members who voted– Your commitment to the future of the association is appreciated. Without further ado, we proudly present the newest members of the AHRA Board of Directors:
Becky Allen, MS, CRA
I have been in Radiology for over 25 years and during this time I have been a technologist, manager, director and now Vice President of Operations, providing leadership to many divisions across an Academic Medical Center. Each position has taught me valuable life lessons, including one of the most important, active listening. Listen to understand, listen to show empathy, and listen to provide the right guidance are a few examples I use to guide my decision making.
I hold a Masters degree of Science in Radiology Administration and have been a member of The Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) since 2003 and received my Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) certification in 2004. I have served on the AHRA Board of Directors from 2019-present. While serving on the Board, I have also served on the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee.
Serving on the AHRA Board of Directors the last three years, during a pandemic, has shown me we must be resilient and versatile as an organization. I am excited to continue the progress we have made.
Outside of my current position, I am also the Health Care Administrator of the Advisory Committee on the Medical Uses of Isotopes (ACMUI), an advisory board for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
My wife, Robin, and I are proud parents of two beautiful teenage twin daughters, Katie and Kasey that keep us busy and entertained.
