Helen Keller once said, ““Life is an exciting business, and most exciting when it is lived for others.”

In recognition of National Volunteer Appreciation Week, I would like to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all our AMAZING and dedicated AHRA volunteers who certainly spend time living their lives for others. Due to the excellent partnership between our talented AHRA staff and volunteers, we are able to have successful Imaging Leadership development programs like our recent 2022 CLIMB event, our Aspiring Leaders Program, CRA Exam Workshop, and so much more!

Our tireless AHRA volunteers make it possible to keep our organization constantly moving forward to meet the needs of our members and those we serve. For those of you who may not know, in addition to our valued individual volunteers, and special task force teams like the 50th celebration committee, there are these multiple different boards, committees, and task forces comprised of generous, committed members who truly make the association “work”,  and whom I applaud:

  • AHRA Board of Directors
  • AHRA Education Foundation Board of Directors
  • Annual Meeting Design Team
  • Corporate Relations Committee
  • Curriculum Committee
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee
  • Editorial Review Board
  • Leadership Development Committee
  • Member Recognition Committee
  • Product and Services Committee
  • Radiology Administrators Certification Commission (RACC)
  • Regulatory Affairs Committee
  • Spring Conference Design Team
  • and our AHRA Organizational Liaisons

As you can see, we have a great deal to be thankful for when it comes to our AHRA volunteers. Someone once said, “Volunteers give the world the greatest gift of care.”  The work, time, expertise, and sacrifices that our volunteers give to support our AHRA mission, to be the resource and catalyst for the development of professional leadership in medical imaging management, is an extraordinary example of servant leadership that deserves gratitude and recognition.

Another exciting event that would not be possible without our extremely innovative, talented, and dedicated volunteers is our upcoming 50th Annual AHRA Meeting in Phoenix, AZ, July 10-13, where, amidst much learning, networking, and celebrating, we’ll also be kicking off the new AHRA Leaders of Choice Certificate Program, a year-long education program creating next-level leaders to manage the increasingly complex Healthcare environment. Watch for more information on this new opportunity coming soon.

To all of our current AHRA volunteers, Thank You for all that you do every day– we could not do what we do without you. I appreciate you!!! To our future AHRA volunteers, go online to sign up for volunteer opportunities, or join the volunteer pool so we know to reach out to you as opportunities arise. I look forward to seeing everyone in Phoenix in just 3 short months!!!
