Reflections on Gratitude

During our weekly Monday huddle, our team was reflecting on the events of last week and how much fun it was to celebrate Radiologic Technologist Week and the importance of taking time for team recognition and resiliency. This discussion got me thinking about just how special last week truly was; not only did we celebrate Rad Tech Week, we also celebrated our military men and women on Veteran’s Day Thursday, November 11, 2021, including our AHRA military members. It is truly an honor to be able to recognize and give thanks to so many for their dedication, service, and sacrifice.

To help support our military members the AHRA Forum has a section entitled Military Community. The forum is only for medical imaging professionals who have or are currently serving our country to share insights and ask questions in relation to the military and transitioning into the civilian sector. The AHRA also offers a special military membership rate of $100 a year with official proof of active military duty included with the membership application.

To further support our military and non-military members, the AHRA is continuously working to offer new programs and services, including the new CRA PATHWAY membership, designed specifically to support the goal of achieving the CRA designation, and the new AHRA Online Institute, featuring more educational content than ever in an easier-to-use format. Limited features of the site are live now, with the full launch planned very soon so stay tuned.

As we conclude our Veterans Day and Radiologic Technologist Week celebrations and begin to prepare for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday, I would like to personally take a moment to once again say thank you to our AHRA military members and their families for their service and their sacrifices. I would also like to express my gratitude for all our AHRA staff, volunteers, and members for all that you do every day to support the Imaging profession and those that we serve.
