AHRA Scholarships encourage continuous learning and professional growth. AHRA Awards recognize professional dexterity and personal achievement. Throughout the year, opportunities to apply for scholarship assistance or to recognize your peers’ accomplishments will arise. Use this guide to navigate through 2020’s opportunities and take full advantage of this member benefit.

Ed Yoder Memorial Scholarship:

Awarded annually, it provides opportunities for 7 civilian/2 military AHRA members to participate in the online Basic Track Management course by covering the registration fees. The Ed Yoder Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the commitment Ed made to fostering leadership in medical imaging. Ed Yoder, CRA, FAHRA, was a loyal AHRA member and deeply involved with the organization’s growth. He devoted years to volunteering his time and expertise with the intent of elevating the profession and grooming future administrators.

Applications are due January 3.

Broadley Scholarship:  This program is intended to provide assistance to current AHRA members who hold a supervisory position within a medical imaging department or imaging center, and have been accepted into an initial undergraduate or graduate degree program relevant to a supervisory career in the medical imaging field.

The Broadley Scholarship Program was established to honor Louise Broadley, FAHRA, a long-time leader of AHRA.

Applications are due April 20.

Annual Meeting Scholarship: We understand that educational and travel funding is more difficult to obtain. Many of our members tell us that all such funding has been eliminated. Recognizing this, AHRA and the AHRA Education Foundation, working with our valued corporate partners, established the AHRA Annual Meeting Scholarship. These scholarships provide complete meeting registration and hotel accommodations to AHRA members who have previously attended the Annual Meeting but have no employer funding to attend this year’s meeting.

Applications are due May 18.

AHRA & Canon Putting Patients First Grant: The AHRA & Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc. Putting Patients First Program seeks to improve pediatric and adult patient care and safety in diagnostic imaging through an innovative grantmaking program. Blancaflor Scholarship: Offers assistance to AHRA active and retired military members to cover costs related to obtaining the CRA credential, including books and CRA exam registration fees.
