AHRA currently has a student membership category which allows only full-time students to qualify. There was a recommendation at the AHRA Board of Directors meeting on March 22, 2018 to expand this membership option to include non-traditional or part-time students. The proposed change affects Article II-Membership (excerpt below).
In accordance with AHRA Bylaws Article VIII-Amendments, our Bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds vote of a quorum of members attending the Annual Meeting. This proposed change will be formally presented at this year’s meeting in Orlando, Florida.
Current
Membership: Membership shall be open to those persons who support the mission and vision of the Association and who pay annual dues prescribed by the Board of Directors. Members shall be entitled to vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the members. Student membership shall be open to students currently enrolled full time in a Radiology or Health Administration BS or Master’s program. Student members shall have no voting rights and cannot run for office.
Proposed Amendment
Membership: Membership shall be open to those persons who support the mission and vision of the Association and who pay annual dues prescribed by the Board of Directors.
