Keeping staff motivated and engaged is a challenge that all leaders face. Have you considered that your staff’s engagement could be affecting your patient satisfaction scores? Do you need to help your staff overcome tough times? Are you looking for ideas to move from good to great? Need help creating an employee engagement plan that really works? Start by attending the session “Employee Engagement: A Panel Discussion” on Tuesday July 21 at 2:15pm at AHRA’s 43rd Annual Meeting.
This session will offer tools and ideas to improve staff engagement, including ideas for creating a plan with purpose. You should begin your plan by determining your staff’s current state. We will guide you on how to measure and determine where you are today. Being able to measure results is an important part of every plan and does not need to be difficult.
Tragedy can strike at any time. If leaders are not prepared to guide staff through the dark times, staff engagement will greatly suffer. At our session, you will hear an outstanding story of how to become an exceptional leader in dark times. Learn what it means to be a leader that truly leads and how to turn dark times into light. This story will truly inspire you and give you a new perspective on employee engagement.
Finally, we know that taking a “good” staff and moving them to “great” can be challenging. Learn to define what it means to be “great” and build success with ideas on creating recognition programs that work and ideas to help your staff find personal satisfaction.
The panel consists of three AHRA members. First is Michael Janis, BS(HCM), RT(R)(CT)(N), CNMT. He is currently the diagnostic centers and outreach services manager for Saint Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL. Next is Carolyn Pfiffner, RT(R)(M), RDMS, CRA. She serves as the administrative director of imaging services at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Waterloo, IA. The third member is me – I am presently the director of radiology at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. The diversity of our panel gives you the advantage of hearing three different approaches that will help you increase employee engagement. This 90 minute session will be fun and thought provoking, and you will leave prepared to create an outstanding work environment. We hope to see you there!
