Health Policy Alternatives (HPA) has shared with AHRA that CMS recently posted the July release of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) contractor file, which has an updated conversion factor for the last 6 months of 2015. The new conversion factor is $35.9335 or ($35.7547*1.005), without any other adjustments. This reflects the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, which among other things, repealed the SGR payment methodology and provided for a 0.5 percent update for July through December 2015.
