In accordance with AHRA Bylaws Article VIII-Amendments, two bylaw changes will be presented to the quorum of members present at the 2014 Annual Meeting in Washington DC for approval. Two thirds of this quorum must approve the changes in order for them to take effect.
The first recommended change was approved at the March 23, 2013 AHRA Board of Directors meeting. This change addresses the inclusion of the immediate Past President on the Executive Committee as described in Article V-Board of Directors.
Current:
Executive Committee: There shall be an Executive Committee consisting of the President, President-Elect, Finance Director, Chief Executive Officer and two directors appointed by the Board.
The Executive Committee may act for the Board of Directors pursuant to delegation of authority by the Board of Directors and shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association, in accordance with policy established by the Board of Directors.
A majority of the voting members of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum. The President or any two members of the Executive Committee may call such meetings of the Executive Committee as the business of the Association may require.
Proposed Amendment:

The role of the Executive Committee is not affected by this change.
The second recommended change was approved at the July 27, 2013 AHRA Board of Directors meeting. This change creates a Student Membership category. The new membership category would allow students currently enrolled full time in a Radiology or Health Administration BS or Master’s program to join at a reduced membership rate. Because of the reduced rate, student members would not have voting rights or be eligible to run for office. This change affects Article II-Membership.
Current:
Membership: Membership shall be open to those persons who support the mission and vision of the Association and who pay annual dues prescribed by the Board of Directors. All members shall be entitled to vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the members.
Proposed Amendment:

All members shall be entitled to vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the members. Student membership shall be open to students currently enrolled full time in a Radiology or Health Administration BS or Master’s program.
